DJI Ronin-S Firmware Update | Sport Mode Lock, Sony & Canon Updates …

Friendly Review / Ronin-S ( – In this video, we go over the DJI Ronin-S Firmware Update version which came out in September 2018. The new feature is now you can lock the sport mode without having to hold in the mode button while using it. Simply hold the mode button to enter sport mode, and double press the trigger to lock in the mode. To release the mode repeat the same. This is handy if you need to use it a lot, but doesn’t take anything away. There is also new compatibility with Sony using the Multi-Camera Control Cable (Multi-USB). Focus Pull has been added for the Canon EOS 5D Mk III.

  1. Какой адаптер для подключения к используемой камере? Могу ли я связаться с ним, пожалуйста?

  2. What does it mean when I can't hear the starting sound of the gimbal although I can see the green light and the app is showing that the battery info is N/A? Its also refusing to do any balance test.
That all happened after I was trying to update the firmware.

  3. I was wondering if you had the new cable for the Sony camera? Since it costs a fortune I was hoping you could maybe take a multimeter and see which pin corresponds in each end and share it as a schematic? I'd use it to rewire the cable that came with the Ronin S initially. 50€ for a cable is a little too much in principal and since DJI advertised it as Sony compatible (with future updates) I feel like they should have offered the cable for free.

  4. You mention that the half press auto focus option is for all us Sony uses but, as it stands, it's pointless. When filming on a Sony you have the option of AF-C or MF. This half press works only in AF-C but when filming in AF-C, the camera automatically autofocuses anyway. So really the new half press function is actually useless. NOW if the half press was able to acquire a focus while filming in MF, that would be amazing.

  5. sir would you help for sharing your sport mode and track mode for the smooth track movement speed ?
i got a problem adjusting deadband of my gimbal cause it's so choppy and not that smooth when pan to left and right
please help 🙏🏻 i got an email too

  6. Does anybody know how to actually connect it to the Sony A7III with the supplied MCC-C cable? The camera just says it’s in USB mode and then Check the connected device.

  7. I think a lot of people forget (DJI also doesn't mention) that their algorithm are also worked on as well. With the previous firmware, you couldn't rotate the gimbal clockwise/counter-cw to shoot because of the way the roll motor works. You had to hold the trigger then rotate the gimbal front and down. This was a problem because the roll motor itself would get into some shots if you titled forward enough. Now you can rotate the gimbal clockwise/counter-cw to go into underslung (?) with the roll motor in the back much easier without it going all limp and wonky.

  8. It won't let me do any of the start/stop record or focusing still using the 1dx mkII & 24-70 L series lens ….if someone has managed to sort please help🙂
