How to Firmware Flash Mac Pro 5,1 For NVME Boot Support

I needed to update the firmware on the machines for a few clients today, So while I was updating firmware and upgrading MacOs I made a quick tutorial on how to flash the firmware to boot rom 140.0.0.0.0 to allow for native nvme boot support.

For this to work you must use MacOs Mojave 10.14.1, 10.14.2, or 10.14.3 FULL INSTALLER, (6GB file) NOT the combo update (3GB) file.

If you are upgrading or using a cMP 1,1 2,1 3,1 4,1 5,1 or nMP 6,1 be sure to checkout the best resources on the web for creative professionals, and mac enthusiasts alike. Follow the links and come join the community.

PS. I recorded this with an iPhone taped to a mic stand, I’ve got several more videos to do in the immediate future, I’ll work to improve video and audio quality dramatically with each new guide, sorry, and thanks.
