Panasonic GH5 Review after 12 Months of Use (2.4 Firmware 2019)

This is my review of the Panasonic Lumix GH5 after 12 months of daily use. This review will be a functionality and usability review of the camera and I won’t be covering any of the technical specifications as there’s a million of those videos online. The Panasonic GH5 with the 2.4 firmware is still a great option for 2019 no doubt about it.

  1. Two things to take note of. I purchased this camera and the shirt I wore in this video is now in the garbage can! 😳😂 That aside if you enjoy the video please drop a thumbs up and if you have any questions please let me know. Thanks everyone! 😄

  2. Great video! I enjoy hearing your authentic perspective based on your real world use of the GH5. I do a lot of guitar videos, too, and have similar needs from my camera gear. After owning one for almost a year and a half, the GH5 is my favorite piece of camera gear I’ve ever purchased. I really enjoy the G85 as well. Panasonic put a lot of previously cost prohibitive video features within reach with these cameras. I’ve learned a lot about filming by simply having and using them. Excellent channel! Cheers!

  3. Hi Shane, i got GH5 and 12-35mm 2.8, and consider buying the 35-100mm 2.8, etc., are you aware of any problem with that lens regarding microjitter, or it might be resolved with the 2.4 firmware? ..or do you recommend any other zoom lens in that range…? btw, what is your main channel?

  4. I've been mulling over either, GH5 or X-T3 and convinced myself to go for Fuji, halfway through your video i changed my mind (one big file, articulated screen, variable slo mo) but come back to my senses when you got to light capability, and no way am I paying an extra 1K for GH5s..
I figure my Crane 3 Lab is nearly here, so dont need stabilization, and X-T3 has so much more potential for video content.
    Cheers, mate, enjoyed the video.

  5. Thorough review, Shane, but (don’t mind my saying) you’ve got a bit of a wardrobe issue — that shirt is way too tight, busting out of it, guy. Kinda detracts from presentation, lol.
